Three years ago, Wrexhammer Gaming Club, opened its doors to the community for the first time and wow, it's been a such a fun time, we've achieved so much!
The idea first formed during discussions for a game of "garden-hammer" in the summer of 2021 and since then we've grown so much. There were about ten of us on the first evening and now we are bursting out the doors on some evenings!
We've attended charity events, ran our own events and provided a weekly safe space to get out your kit and roll some dice.
The admin team would like to extend its thanks to you, the community, for making the club what it is today. To celebrate the club's anniversary, Daf Bray, organised a twelve-player Apocalypse game of Warhammer 40k.
The game was played on three adjoining tables, with twelve players in teams of two vs two. Each player fielded an army up to 2,000 points, meaning that there were approximately 8,000 points of models per table!
Mission Brief: Defense of the Warp Disruptor Power Generators
Objective: Defend the power generators located above ground in Sector 14.
These generators supply energy to the warp disruptor, which prevents the psychic weapon from being tracked through the warp as it is exfiltrated off-planet.
Should the generators fall, the disruptor will fail, exposing the weapon’s location to enemy forces.
Mission Parameters:
1. Primary Goal: Defend the above-ground power generators from enemy assault. Their destruction will cause the warp disruptor to fail, allowing hostile forces to track the weapon.
2. Secondary Goal: Establish a defensive perimeter around the generator site and prevent any breaches.
Enemy Forces: The enemy is expected to launch a full-scale assault on the generators, including Ork warbands, Tyranid bioforms, and Chaos Space Marines.
Expect waves of ground assaults, vehicle incursions, and potential psyker attacks aimed at disabling the disruptor field.
Friendly Forces: Ultramarines and Dark Angels will spearhead the defense around the generator site. Imperial Guard infantry will fortify positions around critical access points.
Imperial Knights will provide mobile heavy firepower to intercept larger threats. Eldar allies will support with psychic shielding and precision strikes as needed.
Timeframe: Hold the generators until the psychic weapon has successfully escaped Nemedon’s atmosphere.
Estimated time to full exfiltration is T-minus 3 hours.
Failure Conditions: If the power generators are destroyed, the warp disruptor will collapse, and the psychic weapon will be detected and intercepted by enemy forces. The mission will fail, and the weapon will fall into hostile hands.
Final Notes: This is a high-priority mission. Failure is not an option. The generators must remain operational until the psychic weapon is safely off-world.
Sacrifice is expected, and every moment bought is a victory for the Imperium.

Ultimately, the forces of the Imperium failed to adequately guard the power generators and the enemy were able to track the psychic weapon through the warp as it was exfiltrated off-planet!
